Extra! Extra! No rant today!
The West Wing was so good tonight, I have decided to forgo my daily rant. Tonight's episode had some great chess scenes, although I kept waiting for the President to say, "Don't move until you see it," a la Searching for Bobby Fischer. I discovered tonight that one of my favorite WW fan sites, jedbartlet.com, seems to have gone the way of the dodo. It was a very nice site, and it's sad to see it go, although the
The Unofficial West Wing Continuity Guide is still going strong, and has a nice look, and good content. Still waiting for someone to put together a good WW quote site. Nothing out there yet.
Also, the AP is reporting that "the hands of the
Doomsday Clock, a symbolic gauge of the threat of nuclear annihilation, were moved for the first time in nearly four years Wednesday because of the Sept. 11 attacks, increasing tension between India and Pakistan and other threats." Symbolic or not, it's damned unpleasant.
