  The Two Towers!!!
OK, I'm completely overstimulated right now, but I will try to formulate some coherent thoughts, although I can't promise complete sentences. In short, The Two Towers was awesome. Viggo Mortensen is incredible. Legolas just keeps getting cooler by the minute. (I always wanted to be an elf.) Gollum sounds a little to much like Dobby the house elf at times, but I'm sure that's just my imagination. And the the Ents are just wonderful. John Rhys-Davies pulls double duty as the voice of Fangorn, and does an excellent job at both. The Battle of Helm's Deep has been extended and turned into the centerpiece of the film, and I can't find a reason to object. Once again, Peter Jackson has altered the end point of the film, as he did with the first one, but he makes it work. The CGI is astonishing. The independent movements of thousands of orcs, not to mention Gollum, are incredible to behold, and for the first time ever they have created CGI water that looks like water. I wonder what George Lucas thinks of all this. If he's not worried, he should be.

Rant of the Day: Nothing to rant about. Oh wait, yes there is! I have to wait a year before the Return of the King. Rat bastards!
