Extra! Extra! No rant today!
The West Wing was so good tonight, I have decided to forgo my daily rant. Tonight's episode had some great chess scenes, although I kept waiting for the President to say, "Don't move until you see it," a la Searching for Bobby Fischer. I discovered tonight that one of my favorite WW fan sites, jedbartlet.com, seems to have gone the way of the dodo. It was a very nice site, and it's sad to see it go, although the The Unofficial West Wing Continuity Guide is still going strong, and has a nice look, and good content. Still waiting for someone to put together a good WW quote site. Nothing out there yet.
Also, the AP is reporting that "the hands of the Doomsday Clock, a symbolic gauge of the threat of nuclear annihilation, were moved for the first time in nearly four years Wednesday because of the Sept. 11 attacks, increasing tension between India and Pakistan and other threats." Symbolic or not, it's damned unpleasant.

The beginning of a blog...
I finally put together a blog to post all of the things I want to rant about, and today I don't have anything to rant about. Go figure. Oh, wait. There is one thing. Chuck Jones died the other day, and that really sucks. I've barely gotten over losing Gene Roddenberry, Isaac Asimov and Jim Henson, and well, that's getting to be a long time ago now. I guess that's not really a rant, but, it really sucks.
Anyway, here's a link to a very cool Marvin the Martian site, in Chuck's honor:
