  Finding Nemo
I caught an early show of Finding Nemo today, and all I can say is "Wow!" Even if it wasn't as cute and funny as it is, this film is worth seeing just for the animation. The animators have finally managed to develop CGI water that looks like water. Both the underwater and above water scenes are a delight to behold. Ellen Degeneres is hilarious as Dorry, the fish with no short term memory, which is a great gag. (Don't all fish lack short term memory?) The film's creators must not think much of the intelligence of seagulls, as they are the only animals that aren't anthropromorphic talkers. They are only able to say one word, "mine," and it is always uttered as a question regarding something edible. (They remind me of the mean little birds from For the Birds, the great short shown before Monsters, Inc.) There's also a great running gag about whether or not clown fish are funny. Highly recommended for kids (and animation fans) of all ages. Can't wait for the DVD!
