First Amendment no big deal, students say
In yet another sign of the impending apocalypse, American high school students are at best indifferent towards the
First Amendment. According to
MSNBC many students erroneously believed that flag burning was illegal, and that the government censors the internet. "[W]hen told of the exact text of the First Amendment, more than one in three high school students said it goes “too far” in the rights it guarantees. Only half of the students said newspapers should be allowed to publish freely without government approval of stories." Very nice.
