Enya sings in a tongue from a 'distant planet'
According to the Times Online. Enya's latest album, Amarantine, contains tracks in Loxian, "a futuristic language from a distant planet". The language was created by Enya's lyricist Roma Ryan. While part of me thinks this is completely bizarre, I have enjoyed the songs she has sung in Gaelic, Latin and Elvish, as well as many Tolkein books containing lots of latter, so why not? (iTunes went all wonky on me last night when I tried to download it, so I can't review it first hand yet.)

Seven Reasons Why Magical Owls are Better than Regular Owls
In anticipation of the latest installment in the Harry Potter series, Cinematical has a list Seven Reasons Why Magical Owls are Better than Regular Owls.

1. Regular owls don't love you. At all.
2. Not only do regular owls not love you, they don't care if you live or die.
3. If you do die, regular owls will pick at your sad, decaying flesh. Especially if you die at night. In the woods.
4. Magical owls would NEVER do that. Unless you ordered them to do it, magically.
5. Magical owls can be magically ordered to peck out the eyes of your enemies.
6. Magical owls bring presents at Christmas time; dainty packages tied to their little legs with delicate red ribbon.
7. Magical owls will never, never, never, ever shit on you.

  Holiday Darth Vader
I will buy just about any ridiculous thing George Lucas puts out there, but the Exclusive Holiday Darth Vader Action Figure is just plain creepy.

  Taz 1998 - 2005

Taz, the world's cuddliest ferret, lost his battle with cancer today. He went peacefully, and is no longer in any pain, but there is an empty spot on the couch that will not be easy to fill.

King Kong - A Look Inside
With less than a month and a half to go before the release o King Kong, Apple has A Look Inside, with just enough footage to torture you. Everyone involved seems to excited to finally get to see the finished product. (That is Peter Jackson, by the way. He has lost a LOT of weight.) If you have the bandwidth and computing speed, the HD versions are worth the extra effort to download.
