I really don't know how we all survived before the internet. I just learned this today from Boing Boing:

I've been opening my bananas stem-side first all my life. On Friday, David showed me how monkeys open bananas. They pinch them on the other end. Boy, it's a lot easier. I'll never open a banana the dumb way again. ¶ 8:34 PM

I must be slow because I don't understand. You "pinch" but don't tear? Damn it! Why isn't there a banana in the house for me to try?

I don't know. I have no bananas on hand either, but if it's good enough for monkeys, it's good enough for me.
