Creature Comforts Coming to the US
According to a Yahoo! News story, Creature Comforts
is coming to US television on CBS. In case you are unfamiliar, Creature Comforts is a wonderful British show, by the wonderful fellow who gave us Wallace and Gromit, in which dialogue from ordinary citizens in interviews with Claymation animals, in a documentary format. It's absolutely hilarious, but I can't imagine how it is going to translate to American television. Doesn't anyone remember Payne? No? Of course not. It was a horrific attempt to take another great British show, Fawlty Towers, and Americanize it. It didn't work. Maybe we'll get lucky this time...
