Ken Jennings has a BlogKen Jennings, the world's nicest and smartest (and wealthiest?) Mormon, has a blog. Right now he is focusing on "pimping" his soon-to-be-published memoir, Brainiac, which, as a huge trivia geek, I will be obliged to read. He is also auctioning off a giant foam version of his head with the proceeds going charity. Bidding is currently at $202.50. This is one of those times I wish that eBay had a feature that would allow you to contact the winning bidder and ask as question, such as "What exactly do you plan to do with this Giant Foam Ken Jennings Head?"

Spider-Man 3
The Spider-Man 3 trailer is up on Apple.com, and it looks awesome. As always, I recommend you take the extra time and bandwidth to download the HD version. It's worth the wait.

Good News, Everyone!
Katey Sagal has confirmed that new episodes of Futurama coming to Comedy Central. I'm a huge fan of Futurama, one of the many Fox shows I have loved that Fox has abused into cancellation. The rumor mill has been going wild about this for some time, so it's nice to finally hear something definitive. By the way, she made this revelation on Craig Ferguson's The Late Late Show, which is also a very funny show, and everyone should watch it. Thanks to TV Squad for catching this.

DIRECTV - TITANIUM
Every channel. Every movie. Every pay per view. Every sporting event. Every sdult program. Every HDTV channel. Up to 10 HDTV receivers. Concierge service 24/7. $7500 a year. DIRECTV - TITANIUM I pay an obscene amount of money to Time Warner Cable every month, for every channel they carry, including all their HDTV channels, and two HD DVRs, but it doesn't come close to $7500 a year, even if I watched every pay per view program they offer. So. unless the concierge service offers something remarkable, I can't see how anyone is going to pay for this.

Animal Planet :: Meerkat ManorAnimal Planet's Meerkat Manor is the best reality show ever, in that it is actually real. The footage comes from 10 years of research on meerkats in the Kalahari desert, focusing on the "Whiskers" family, led by the power couple of Flower and Zaphod. Each half hour episode so far has ended with one or more of the fascinating little creatures in dire straits. Sean Astin narrates, and after describing the upcoming near-certain death of one of the family members, cheerfully exclaims, "Next time on Meerkat Manor!" I find the cliffhanger endings more than a little heavy-handed, but the show is still one of the most interesting things on television right now. (That and high definition reruns of Battlestar Galactica...)
