Black-Footed Ferret Born at National Zoo
A single black-footed ferret kit was born yesterday at the National Zoo. The Zoo has a live cam set up where you can check in on Mom and her teeny, tiny baby. The cam is located here.
Update:
Some excellent footage from the web cam here:
Bonus points for the musical accompaniment.

I've been watching non-stop since he was born. He has grown so much! What a couple of cuties. I wish the media would have made a bigger deal about this. There is so much about other animals, but you rarely hear anything about these cuties. People work so hard to help them survive. Where is the Animal Planet documentary?
Anyway, I'm in love with Georgia and her baby. Thanks for posting about it.

I know. They are amazing to watch, aren't they? I don't know why there is so little press on these guys. You would think that an animal that was brought back from near-extintion would be a bigger story.
